Engage Your Community With A New Attraction For Your Park Or Public Space
With disc golf growing so much in popularity, everyone’s looking to add a disc golf course to their park plans to meet the community’s demand and bring in new visitors
Get A Disc Golf Course Designed To Fit Your New Or Existing Park
Disc golf is the perfect addition because it can weave in and around other features or take advantage of otherwise unsuitable land. Plus, it doesn’t disrupt the natural beauty of the landscape but adds a whole new way to enjoy it. But only when you do it right.
Many parks struggle to attract any disc golfers because they throw up tees and baskets wherever they see an open space, but no one would design a golf course by placing the greens wherever a clearing in the woods happened to be. It takes a deep understanding of the game and design principles to create a course with the right amount of creativity, challenge, and fun for beginners and pros alike.

Looking for a popular feature to generate excitement for a new park or reinvigorate an existing one?
When you’re dealing with the space limitations, competing requirements, and budget constraints of a park, it’s even more important to find a professional who can work with other contractors and get the most out of limited resources.
Don’t settle for a lackluster course that won’t get any use. People from all over the country come to Charlotte to play my courses. You can put your park on the disc golf map, be the talk of your town, and attract more people to your area with a premiere course that will bring your community together in fun and competition for years to come.
Give me a call or text today to discuss what a new disc golf course in your park would look like and what it could do for your town.

The Making of a Great Course
Step 1: Listen
It’s your course, so shouldn’t it be exactly what you want? Whether that’s a championship-level course, a course for elementary school kids, or something the general public can enjoy, the most important thing is to discover what works best for your players, your property, and your budget. The first step we take is to work together on what the perfect course means for you and what the options are for getting there.
Step 2: Design
Once the goal is set, the next step is to visit your property to survey the land, looking for opportunities and obstacles. Using survey and satellite data, I draw a design for the course with tee boxes, baskets, retaining walls, bridges, landscaping, and any other work that needs to be done. You receive a detailed report along with estimates of the costs for each component. You’ll get to see exactly how the course will look on your map and what it will take to make it a reality.
Step 3: Build
The design document gives you everything you need to build the course, just like an architect’s plans for a house. If you have the staff or a contractor who can do the work, I’ll remain available for consultation. If you need someone to build it for you, I can help you with that piece, too. Whatever you need, I’m not satisfied until you are playing on your new favorite course.
Take It From A Park Superintendent

“Mark has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in Disc Golf Course design/redesign. Often Mark and his team are required to redesign part of or sometimes an entire course here in Mecklenburg County due to the growth of our system and imminent capital expansion. I have been consistently impressed by his professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work.”

Mark Huether
Player, Coach, Designer, Builder
Mark Huether loves disc golf. He wants everyone to learn and love this amazing sport just as much, which is why he dedicates most of his time (when he’s not playing) to maintaining the courses around Charlotte, organizing professional and amateur events, coaching college athletes (and his two sons), and building courses around the country.
He’s a former PDGA Amateur World Champion and the designer of multiple PDGA Pro and Amateur Championship courses, and he’s played on over 400 courses in 49 states, so he knows what makes a great course. As a trained engineer and experienced builder, he has the skills to turn the plans into a reality. Nothing gets him excited like bringing his passion to new players and new places.
